To be honest with you, I didn't use a program.
There's an online group called pxl.space that makes pixel art in real time and I occasionally helped them with creating whatever design is being worked on.
One of the designs that was being worked on was Samus, so after that was completed, I made it in person.
I make bad art but don't let that stop you from following me.
